ROCK SOLID: Christ, the Solid Rock . . .
ABOVE the "7 Mountains"

Christ, the Solid Rock - above the Seven Mountains

It never ceases to amaze me how significant and timely Bible prophecy becomes, in troubled times.  Scripture is replete with people (as in the case of the passage quoted from above) within society literally “climbing out of a hole” to find life and hope, when confronted with the living God.

These thoughts come to me after watching an interview

of a very prominent political official (the nephew of none other than John F. Kennedy)—who was asked how he held up under pressure from the modern cancel culture, as he voiced concerns about the downward spiral of our nation.

His only answer was to refer to a mythological Greek figure whose eternal task was to roll a large rock up to the top of the mountain . . . and then, as the rock slipped back to the bottom, again; to again sweat and labor, to push it back up, for all eternity(!).

This gentleman’s only sense of well-being was found in accomplishing his purpose: constantly pushing that bolder back up, no matter what.  However, such is not what the Christian labors for, or looks forward to, for all eternity!   Jesus said, without apology, to His disciples, “. . . upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)!

In still another place, while reflecting upon a temporary defeat on the battlefield of Life, Jesus told disciples “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (John 16:20—emphasis added)

Christ’s promises are rock solid, even when speaking of the crucifixion that He would soon endure, and comparing  it  to  the agonies of a woman in childbirth.  Further, just as a woman exchanges the agony of birth pangs for the joy of holding new life in her arms, Jesus tells us, He endured the Cross to see us come to Life in Him (Heb. 12:1,2)—and thus we also, may endure some of the trials of end time events, foretold in prophecy—as we look forward to experiencing an eternal victory with Christ in Glory—while others continue to remain clueless about us, today.

For we have been so blessed in past generations (despite great trials, and even World Wars)—that many started to assume that life would always be that way: we would always remain a free nation, with our Constitution in tact and individual prosperity unquestioned.

Yet, today, even though prayers have been amazingly answered with reversals on some spiritual beach heads (as with the overturning of Roe vs. Wade)—we have been forced to realize that there are moral issues running much deeper than the paper and ink upon Constitutional documents—but that altars to Baal have been “erected by our fathers” within this land that either must be torn down, or labored under, until God’s direct intervention upon His return (2 Peter 3:10-13)!

Further, we must realize that what some have witnessed within these pages of the UPLOOK—while forecasting the actual fulfillment of projections from the pages of Scripture (i.e. Bible prophecy) —have not been “mainstream” considerations, as most remain ignorant of the seriousness of the pace of end time events.

We have seen, for example, that CRT continues to ride the back of a prophecy given in support of the rise of what is commonly referred to as “the New World Order”—as an expression of humankind’s final rebellion against God, Himself, becoming ever more evident with each passing day. We will review this phenomena in our first article.

There are also calls to conquer the mountains of our culture: Scripture states that the Kingdom of God is called to level these mountains (Zech. 4:6-7), and to build upon the Rock in the “ordered place” after tearing down the altars to Baal.  There is a difference: It can be as different as playing a board game (like Monopoly)—and engaging an enterprise of blood, sweat & tears—as we wrestle for the souls of women and men in this world.

And they overcame [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelation 12:1)

Engaging this second option is costly, and yet, this is  where Bible prophecy really comes to life.
